FAIRBAIRN CUP FINAL INFORMATION

HI all,

So this time tomorrow it will all be coming to a close for another season!  Thank you to everyone for the tremendous support on what has been the largest season ever.

Please can you remind your teams of the following:-

1. Don’t forget your number.

2. KNOW YOUR START TIME – due to high numbers, it’s becoming impossible to call people out by name at the start, so we will only be calling out the start times.  If they miss it, tough, they’ll have to run harder – I have added the sheet again here, it will be on polybook and the webpage shortly and also on the board tomorrow evening; there’s not much else I can do here.

3. Please wear club vests, etc. if you have one.

4. Crescent Club will be open upstairs for us post event.  Please come along and encourage everyone else too as well, so we can all celebrate the season together.

5. The raffle is going strong, here’s the link so please don’t forget to grab your tickets. https://www.justgiving.com/page/nsp-gp-tvlb?utm_medium=fundraising&utm_content=page%2Fnsp-gp-tvlb&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=pfp-share

6. THE EVENT COMMENCES AT 6:45pm SO MAKE SURE YOU GET ALONG TO THE LIGHTHOUSE IN PLENTY OF TIME.

See you there.

Ivan

NSP GP6 Results and GP7 Handicaps

Congratulations to all athletes this evening on a wonderful GP and many thanks to all those who volunteered their time so we could run. Best wishes to our tail bike rider for a speedy recovery. This evening we had 200 runners and some really fast times, nearly matching the seasons bests and close to records; maybe GP7 will present an opportunity? Please see attached all results files and provisional GP7 handicaps.

Many thanks

Ivan

NSP GP5 Results & GP6 Handicaps

Many thanks to everyone for such a well populated (207 runners and finishers!) and welcome to our new transfer window runners. The biggest thanks though, as always, must go to the brave kind souls who stand out there in all weathers so that we can have a little run.

The results have now been computated, checked, re-checked and a couple of spurious runner numbers corrected and I’m happy to include all the results sheets and GP6 handicaps here.

Next GP is Tuesday 6th February 2024, 7pm start time for first runner.

Many thanks

Ivan

NSP GP4 5th December 2023

Many thanks to everyone that gave up their free time to help out at this evenings’ GP4, held in a chilly breeze but otherwise good conditions; so good in fact that the in-form Jimmy Anderson of “We’ve Got The Runs”, beat his own course record by 3 seconds to record a 17min 34sec excellent result.

Many thanks to Nick Cryer for tonights’ photo on the prom beside the Rendevous.

I’ll calculate the handicaps for GP5 in the next day or so. The event is due to take place at 7pm on Tuesday 9th January 2024, see you all there.
